Our in house engineer can provide all the necessary paperwork required for the building industry.  We provide fast efficient planning, design and structural calculation services for your loft conversion or extension for a clear and low cost structural design service contact us. All calculations are prepared with drawings and when combined with our planning and building regulations application service will include 3d visuals for the entire project for your convenience!  Below is an excerpt that is taken from a Building Control web site. “Where the Building Control Officer asks applicants to submit structural calculations in support of their building regulations application, those calculations can be approved quicker and with fewer problems by observing the following guidance concerning common issues.           Drawings: Any beams must be shown on the drawings. Beams must be labelled to correspond to the supporting calculations. Most problems occur because checking staff are unable to relate the calculations to the drawings and see what loads the beams are supporting. Drawings should show the direction of span for floor joists, the type of roof structure (e.g. trusses or purlins) and the types of bricks and blocks used. It is essential that calculations are produced by persons having experience, qualifications and indemnity insurance appropriate to the complexity of the structure. The employment of a structural engineer is recommended. The author's name and contact details must be given on the calculations to facilitate speedy resolution of any queries. Calculations should be signed by the author."

In every design, be it a loft conversion, extension or house build, we take you from your ideas to reality via the following: - Assessing your existing space to identify the available options taking into account budget, aesthetics and planning restrictions, in order to provide a comprehensive outline. - A design service incorporating interior and exterior emphasis. This aesthetically driven design process takes into account characteristics of the property and client's personal tastes. We put particular emphasis on creating light, spacious areas. - Drawing up architectural drawings which we submit for the appropriate planning and building control approvals. - Monitoring and informing clients as to progress of approvals and liaising with the planning authorities, structural engineers and architects on our client's behalf. - Scheduling a start date which coincides with the approvals being achieved and our client's personal commitments. - A pre-start meeting during which we walk you through the construction process. - Frequent site meetings with site foreman and/or designer and client. - Providing registered plumbers, electricians, and carpenters during your loft conversion/extension. During this time other minor and additional works could be carried out on your property by private arrangement. - Taking care of all licenses with regard to skips, scaffolding and Building Control Officers from the Local Authority. - Taking the pain out of a loft conversion/extension- the bulk of the project is carried out almost exclusively externally through the roof/extension. We aim to minimise the disturbance to you and your home. - Breaking down the payment schedule into stage relevant increments. - Having a snagging meeting on completion of building works to ensure the project is completed to your satisfaction following which we provide a cleaning service free of charge.
